We are learning how to apply paint.We learnt two techniques - dragging with cardboard and dabbing with a sponge. I enjoyed dragging the paint across the paper. It was fun.

Mathletics Top 100 Students!

In the Mathletics Hall of Fame I got 32nd in the top 100 in the world and 8th in the top 100 in NZ I got 2,120ps for my silver certificate.

Fractions of a Set

I was learning about unit fractions of a set.

One thing that worked for me was turning a fraction into a division. The line in the middle means that it's divided by so if it was 3/5 of 30 you would have to go 30 divided by 5 = 6, and then 6 x 3 = 18.

One thing that was tricky for me was when the numbers are big and I don’t know the basic facts that go with them.

I found this work interesting because it is fun to build your own dream house and live in it.
My next is to do more shapes to my dream house.
